Norma R. (Bagnoli) Martello, 92

 Norma R. (Bagnoli) Martello, 92

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Norma R. (Bagnoli) Martello, surrounded by her family, on February 17th, 2026 at the age of 92. She began her life journey on September 23rd, 1933, born to Alfred and Elizabeth (Carini) Bagnoli in Milford, MA. She graduated from Milford High School in 1951 where she was awarded Most Artistic in her Senior class, and held the honor of designing the school’s yearbook cover that year. In college, she met her life partner and soon to be husband, Philip Martello. They married on September 27th, 1952 and created a beautiful life together, raising their two children, Gail and Philip in a home they bought and renovated in Milford, MA. Their home became a meeting place for family and friends over the years, hosting countless birthdays, holidays and most memorably, Christmas Eve which remains a favorite family tradition amongst her grandchildren.

Norma was a hardworking and independent woman who held many jobs in the Milford area before retiring from Avery-Dennison as a Senior Accountant after more than 20 years. She had an unwavering devotion to her family and spent many years caring for family members in their time of need. She also loved being involved in her grandchildren’s lives, attending every event, every game, every important life moment and loved spending time with her two great grandchildren in recent years. Norma’s warmth, strength and deep love for her family and friends will be remembered and carried forward by all those who knew her. Her legacy is of kindness, resilience and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

She was predeceased by her husband Philip Sr., her son Philip Jr., her parents and her sister Eleanor Cook. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Gail and Martin Pope, her daughter-in-law Karen Martello, her three grandchildren and their partners, Melissa Pope and Amber Hafner, Amanda and Ryan Hanofee and Geoffrey Martello and Jeremy Castillo, and her great grandchildren, Evan, Ronan and new baby boy Hanofee due in May. She also leaves behind many beloved friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 28th from 8:30am-10:30am at Consigli Ruggiero Funeral Home, 46 Water St, Milford, MA 01757 with a Funeral Mass following at 11 A.M. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 5 E Main St, Milford, MA, burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
