Anthony (Tony) J. Mancini, 94

Anthony (Tony) J. Mancini, 94 of Milford passed away peacefully on Saturday March 8, 2025, at his home. Tony was a lifelong Milford resident. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Helen (Ciambelli), son Michael and his wife Linda Mancini of Milford, son Marc Mancini of Upton and daughter and son in law Gina and Shane Giblin of San Diego CA, sister in law Frances Sadowski and her husband Paul, grandchildren Michael Jr., Derek, their mother Joyce Brazee, Siena, Joshua, Danae, great granddaughter Rhea, and his nieces and nephews, Arlene, Deron, Todd, Kim, Brenda, Brian, Eric and Shawn. Tony was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Lucy (Simone) Mancini, siblings Mary Mulley, Pasquale (Patsy), Emilio (Sonny), Frank and his niece, Lucille Iacovelli. After graduating from St. Mary’s high school in 1948 Burdett College in 1952, and the Dale Carnegie business leadership program in Boston, his career began at Whitin Machine Works. He then began a partnership with the late Peter Bibbo, operating the Rainbow Launderette in Uxbridge before becoming the branch manager at Beneficial Finance. Tony then spent the majority of his career with Shawmut Bank where he retired as Vice President in 1992.  Having a passion for finance, Tony became the Controller in his post-retirement career, alongside his son Michael, at Braza & Mancini, Inc for 25 years where he retired at 88 in 2019.

Tony proudly served as the treasurer of the Marlborough Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts ADA.

He enjoyed spending summers at his cottage on Lake Winnipesaukee with family and friends, traveling and watching college football on Saturdays and golf on Sundays and was an avid Red Sox fan. He was very proud of his Italian roots as a first generation Italian American.  He especially loved having Sunday dinners, holidays and parties with his large Italian family celebrating together, sharing stories and eating all the home-made Italian foods. Most of all, Tony loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be forever in our hearts and deeply missed by all who loved him.

A calling hour will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. at the Consigli Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. Milford.
