Leonard A. “Pete” Mainville, 88, of Hopedale, passed away November 29, 2016 in the Blaire House of Milford. He was the husband of Gloria I. (Bartlett) Mainville of 68 years. He was born in Upton, son of the late Napoleon and Georgianna (Vallee) Mainville and moved to Hopedale in 1955. He was educated in the Upton Schools. Mr. Mainville retired in 1992 from the Plains Automotive in Milford where he was employed as a mechanic. He was an avid candlepin bowler, hunter and fisherman. He was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Hopedale.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughters, Elaine Cleaves of Chelmsford, Janice Foster of Milford, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Violet Picard, and his brothers, Victor Mainville, Paul Mainville, Adelbert Mainville and Robert Mainville.
The funeral service and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St.
