Leonardo “Leo” Niro, 82,
Leonardo “Leo” Niro, 82, of Milford, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2015 at the Countryside Healthcare of Milford. He was the husband of Clara A. (Guerrieri) Niro for 54 years. He was born in Pietramontecorvino, Italy, son of the late Guiseppe and Angelina (Carpinelli) Niro and moved to Milford in 1972.
Mr. Niro retired in 1995 from the former Foreign Motors in Natick where he was employed as an auto body repairman.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Tony Niro and his wife Alice of Douglas, Mark Niro of Milford, Aldo Niro and his wife Laurie of Milford, Guiseppe Niro of Grafton, Robert Niro of Mendon, Maria Niro of NY, Nina and her husband Rae Grenon of Upton, one brother Michele Niro of FL, one sister Carolina Niro of Italy, five grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Antonio Niro, Delio Niro and one sister Elena Macchiarola. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday 26, 2015 at 11 A.M. in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 7 East Main St. The burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
A calling hour will be held prior to the funeral mass from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. Milford MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Leo's memory may be made to the Oliva Fund for Cancer Care, 14 Prospect St., Milford, MA 01757
