Alfred A. Carrachino, 94,
Alfred A. Carrachino, 94, a lifelong Milford resident, passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 at the U Mass Medical Center in Worcester. He was the husband of the late Theresa M. (Paille) who passed away in 1994.
Born in Milford, he was the son of the late Panfilo and Anna (DeMeo) Carrachino. A graduate of Milford High School, class of 1940, he retired from General Motors in Framingham after over 30 years’ service. He had also worked with his brother Geno in his barber shop for many years. Fred was an avid walker and loved tennis, animals, cooking, scratch tickets, and mostly, being with his family, and was a U.S. Army, WWII Veteran.
He was the father of Anthony P. “Paul” Carrachino and his wife Valerie of Franklin, Stephen J. and his late wife Reggie Carrachino of Milford, and Lynda Paddock and her husband David of Milford, step-father of Katherine “Kitty” Koback and the late Alfred Handy. Brother of the late James “Casey” Carrachino, Elvira Puntonio, Mario “Max” Carrachino, Albina “Alba” Carrachino, Attilio “Pete” Carrachino, Ida Sannicandro, and Geno Carrachino. He is also survived by his former wife Greta D. O’Leary, his grandchildren, Christie Julian and Elisia Carrachino, as well as many nieces and nephews, step-grandchildren and step-greatgrandchildren.
HIs funeral will be held on Saturday October 17, 2015 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. Milford, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 A.M. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Main St., Milford. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Friday from 5 to 8 P.M.
