Dorothy M. “Dot” (Bowen) Moro, 97
Dorothy M. “Dot” (Bowen) Moro, 97, of Milford, passed away Friday, November 15, 2013 at Countryside Healthcare of Milford. She was the wife of the late William G. Moro, who died in 1984.
She was born in Uxbridge, the daughter of the late Frank and Mae (Trudell) Bowen, and was a 1934 graduate of Uxbridge High School. She had also attended Salem State College.
Dot had worked as a secretary with Attorney Alfred B. Cenedella for several years, and retired from Greenleaf Financial Co., in Milford, after 19 years. She was an avid Boston sports fan, especially the Red Sox. Dot was an avid reader, a member of the Sacred Heart Women’s Club, and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She was the loving mother of Mary F. Moro of Milford, sister of the late Donald Bowen, and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 20, 2012 at 10 A.M at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 5 East Main Street, Milford. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday evening, from 4-7PM at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water Street, Milford, MA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dot’s memory may be made to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Legacy of Faith, 5 East Main St., Milford, MA 01757, or the Countryside Healthcare Activities Department, 1 Countryside Drive, Milford, MA 01757
