Gerard A. “Gerry” Lalime, 71,
Gerard A. “Gerry” Lalime, 71, of Milford passed away on April 10, 2013 at Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Virginia (Caramadre) Lalime, with whom he shared 42 years of marriage. Born in Central Falls, RI and raised in Pawtucket, RI, he was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Bryant College and a Master’s Degree from Suffolk University.
He Served in Vietnam in the U.S. Army’s 25th Infantry Division. Upon his return from Vietnam, he was employed by the Defense Department Contract Audit Agency.
In 1974, he moved with his family to Milford, MA and was Manager of Ad Valorum Taxes for Duke Energy in Boston (formerly Algonquin Gas Transmission Company) until his retirement in 2004.
He was a member of many professional associations. He was greatly devoted to his family. He enjoyed travel, fine dining, sports events, and playing in trivia tournaments.
In addition to his wife, Gerard is survived by 3 sons: Andrew R. Lalime and his wife Dawn of Natick, Michael A. Lalime and his wife Leigh of Milford, and Christopher P. Lalime of Upton. He is also survived by his sister, Joanne Groff, of North Scituate, RI and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Janet DelleFave.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 16, from 5-8 pm, at the Consigli – Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water Street, Milford, MA.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 17 at 10 am, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Milford, MA
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Mary of the Assumption Capital Improvement Fund.
