Antonio Roda, 92, of Milford, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. He was the husband of Maria (Sousa) Roda who passed away in 1979. He was born in Mineola NY, son of the late Domingos and Lucinda (Rodrigues) Roda and moved to Portugal and moved to Milford in 1960. He retired in 1980 from the former Milford Shoe Company where he was employed as a machine operator. He was a member of the Milford Portuguese Club and a communicant of the St. Mary of the Assumption Church.
He is survived by his children, Isaura Ferreira, Lucinda and her husband Frank Rolo and Marianne and her husband Sebastiao Moutinho all of Milford, one brother Zeferino Roda of Milford, eight grandchildren, Daniel, Diana, Manuel, Anthony, Cassandra, Brandon, Rebecca, Caterina, two great-grandchildren, Antonio and Enzo, many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers Americo Roda, Domingos Roda and Alfred Roda, three sisters, Mary Carneiro, Ana Vaz and Hilda Roda..
The funeral will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 A.M. in the St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church on Winter St. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery on Cedar St. in Milford.
Calling hours will be held Monday from 5 to 7 P.M.
