Dorothy E. (Gallerani) Parente, 94

Dorothy E. (Gallerani) Parente, 94 of Milford, passed away peacefully, Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Milford Regional Medical center surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael T. Parente, Sr. who passed away in 2012. She was born in Milford, daughter of the late Ernest and Mary (Bellerini) Gallerani.  She was a graduate of the Milford High School class of 1944 and was a lifelong Milford resident.            

Mrs. Parente retired in 1985 from the former Fino Chrysler in Mendon where she was employed as a bookkeeper. She loved the beach and spent many summers down the Cape.  After retirement, she was a snowbird, spending her winters in Florida where she enjoyed golf and entertaining.  She was a great Italian cook and enjoyed hosting Sunday family dinners.  She was a member of the Sons of Italy, Milford, American Legion ladies auxiliary, a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, and a member of the Sacred Heart Woman’s Guild.                         

She is survived by her children, Michael T. Parente Jr. and his wife Rosemarie of Milford, Joseph A. Parente and his wife Maureen of Las Vegas NV, Anthony P. Parente and his significant other, Joanne Johnson of Alton Bay NH, two daughters Patricia A. and her husband Jeffrey Gardella of Milford, Maria D. and her husband James Johnson of Sutton, twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by her brother, Ernest Gallerani.            

A mass will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church of Jesus, 5 East Main St. in Milford.  A calling hour will be held prior to the funeral mass from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St. Milford Ma.  The burial will be at the convenience of the family.                       

Memorial contributions can be made to the Legacy of Faith of Sacred of Jesus Parish, Milford MA
