Antoinette D. “Netta” (DeCapua) Grillo, 100, a life long Milford resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Genesis Healthcare in Milford. She was the wife of the late John J. Grillo.
Born in Milford, Netta was a graduate of Milford High School, class of 1938. She retired in 1980, having worked as a receptionist for area hairdressing salons.
She was a charter member of the Sacred Heart Women’s Club, a member of the ITAM Ladies Auxilliary, the Friends of the Milford Senior Center, and was a poll worker for over 40 years.
Loving mother of John N. Grillo and his wife Ellie of Freeport, ME, and Joan A. Forbes and her husband Kenneth of Mendon. Sister of Pacifico DeCapua of Milford, Yola Collins of Milford, and the late Lucy Alphonse, Jennie Verrier, Mary Amantea, AnnMarie Kane, Domenic DeCapua, and Mafalda Chiccarelli. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Shawn Forbes, Jodi and Michael Menard, and Bradley, Cameron and Morgan Grillo, and many nieces and nephews.
Services for Netta will be private, and are under the direction of the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford.
