Santo A. “BoBo’ Mazzarelli, 90, of Milford, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at the St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. He was born in Milford son of the late Albert and Angelina (Calarese) Mazzarelli and was a lifelong Milford resident. He was educated in the Milford schools. He was a World War II Navy Veteran. Santo owned and operated Albert’s Bakery on Genoa Ave. in Milford until it’s closing in 1975.
He was a former Pilot and Hunting guide in Maine. He was a member of the N.R.A., G.O.A.L., Nipmuc Rod and Gun Club, Southborough Rod and Gun Club, Italian American Veterans, Marchegiano Club, Foggiano Club, and an avid hunter and fisherman, and his greatest passion was being a gun smith. He was a great father, grandfather, and a friend to many.
He is survived by his children, Christopher Santo Mazzarelli and his wife Cheryl of Uxbridge, Francesca and her husband Sean Quirk of Milford, three grandchildren, Nina Mazzarelli, Joseph Quirk and Sarah Quirk.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 A.M. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main St. in Milford Ma. The burial with full Military honors will follow at the parish cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5 to 8 P.M.
