Bruce A. Munroe, 69, of Bellingham, where he has lived since 1982, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017 at the U. Mass Medical Center in Worcester.
Born in Milford, he was the son of the late C. Ralph and Marjorie A. (Aldridge) Munroe and was a 1967 graduate of Medway High School.
Husband of 34 years to Patricia A. (Tays) Munroe, he retired in 2009 from Saint-Gobain in Milford, where he worked as an industrial mechanic for over 30 years.
A U.S. Marine Corps, Vietnam veteran, he served from 1967-1974 attaining the rank of Corporal.
He was a past commander of the American Legion, Post 367, Medway, and a life member of VFW Post 7272 in Bellingham.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Bruce A. Munroe, Dawn M. Peters of CA, Jennifer Martin of Blackstone, and the late Cynthia L. Croney. He was the brother of Paul A. Munroe of SC, Roger W. Munroe of Franklin, and the late Patricia A. Duhamel, Ralph H. Munroe, Charles A. Munroe, and Judith E. Ireland. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Katlyn Peters and Dominic Rodrigues, as well as many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dogs, T-Bow and Tasha.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford, MA. Burial with military honors will take place at the V. A. National Cemetery in Bourne, at a later date.
