Alcino Da Silva Gomes, 71, of Milford, passed peacefully Monday, August 26, 2024 in his home. He was the husband of the late Maria Isaltina (Da Costa) Gomes who passed away in 1987. He was born in Mangualde, Portugal son of the late Antonio and Rosa (Da Silva) Gomes and immigrated to the United States and moved to Milford in 1977.
Alcino retired in 2014 from the laborers union # 243, where was employed as a laborer. He was a member of the Milford Portuguese Club.
He is survived by his daughter Carla Gomes Boerger and her husband Corey Boerger of Hopedale, two granddaughters, Victoria Isaltina Gomes Boerger and Sofia Maria Gomes Boerger, three brothers, Joaquim Gomes, Jose Antonio Gomes, Antonio Gomes and three sisters, Elisa Gomes, Adelia DaCosta, and Ana Gomes all of Portugal.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Avelino Gomes, Alfredo Gomes, and Rosa Gomes.
The calling hours will be held Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 10 A.M. to 12 noon at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home Inc. 46 Water St. Milford MA. The burial will be in the Cemiterio de Mangualde in Mangualde Portugal.
