Consigli Ruggerio Funeral Home

Gary Reichert 59,

Gary Reichert 59, of Bellingham, passed away suddenly. He was born in Pittsburg, PA to Suzanne (Zanis) and Robert Reichert.  Gary proudly serviced in the US Navy Hospital Corpsman (HM2). Gary’s resourceful willingness to service extended through his career. Holding executive positions at Boston Scientific and most recently at Ahold Delhaize.

His ability to meaningfully connect with people with a levity and a mischievous smile would ease those around him. He treasured those relationships and the strong women in his life. His daughter Ashley (Reichert) Zangari, His partner Cocoa McGovern and his dogs Nola and Jewel. All holding their own strings to his heart.

In addition to his girls he is survived by his parents, siblings Robert Reichert Jr., Jill Reichert-Trecki, Fred Reichert and Anthony Zanis (wife Katlyn) along with his nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by a community of colleagues and friends especially the Downing and McGovern families and Gail (Arcudi) Reichert and Ashley’s husband Michael.

In honor of his memory, visiting hours will be held at Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home at 46 Water St. Milford, MA on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 4 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 10 A.M. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Milford. Burial will be at a later date at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.

In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to non-profit Edpowerment with which Gary was involved with at Edpowerment.org or to a foundation of your choice in his memory.

So sorry to hear about the loss of Gary. He was a nice guy and I always enjoyed a nice conversation with him whenever I would see him. He always had a smile on his face and always a joker. This is such a shock to me and I am at a loss for words. To Gary's Family and his Daughter Ashley and former wife Gail you shall be in my thoughts and prayers. I am sorry that I won't be around to pay my respects because I will be out of state but know that you will be on my mind and in my thoughts and prayers. May you R.I.P. Gary and may you watch over all of us. With deepest sympathy, Stephen Reis

Gary was Tony's (my husband) brother and best friend. Gary was a one of a kind human being. So funny, easy going.. and one of the biggest, kindest hearts I've ever met in my life. Tony and Gary had a bond I've never seen before. Two peas in a pod who could complete each other's sentences and stories. We have so much love and respect for him. If only we had more time together.. Gary will be deeply and truly missed by everyone he's ever met, truly. We love you so much... And I hope Bob (Tony's father) met you with a nice glass of expensive tequila! Please watch over us in peace.
