Jean S. (Fogan) Daltorio, 83, of Hopedale, passed away, Tuesday, April 23, 2019. She was the beloved wife of the late of Anthony A. Daltorio for 58 years.
Daughter of the late James and Edith (Rose) Fogan. Raised and educated in Hopedale, she attended David Hale Fanning Trade School in Worcester, graduating as an accomplished seamstress. After her children were grown, she worked for the Anthony Roberts Corporation in Milford; the family relocated to Alabama for a short period and later returned to Hopedale where she assisted her husband in the wholesale operations for the Boston Music Company.
Jean and her husband lived the majority of their lives together in Hopedale, retiring, and enjoying six months in Florida, and six months in various locations in MA, including Westport and Plymouth. She has resided for the last several years at Golden Pond Assisted Living Center in Hopkinton. Jean loved the beach, having spent childhood summers in Matunuck RI. She also loved square dancing, where she made life-long friends; all types of sewing and crafts, making infant quilts to donate to local hospitals; traveling the world with her husband; she had a passion for bingo, and cherished time with family.
She is survived by her daughters Darlene F. MacPhee of Medway and Laura J. Manning and her husband Paul of Brewster, and her son Mark A. Daltorio and his wife Yvette of Upton. She was the grandmother of Tanner J. MacPhee, Kyle R. MacPhee, Paul J. Manning, Christopher J. Manning, Danielle M. Daltorio, and Jennifer L. Daltorio.
At the request of her family, services will be private, and are under the direction of the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford.
Jean's soft spoken and supportive demeanor will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
