I hope the Petak family find comfort and strength in Jesus promise along with our heavenly father Jehovah of the earthly resurrection found at John 5:28, 29, when death will be eliminated forever Revelations 21:4. My sincere condolences to Mike's family and colleagues. I knew Mike when he was covering the DEM Radio room and I was working with the Director of State Parks. It was always comforting to know that where ever I traveled in the State Mike was just a quick radio call away until I arrived home safely. He was often the last voice I heard in my work day. 10-24 Mike and Thanks
Ken Foley, Dep Dir DCR State Parks (ret)

My sincerest condolences to the Petak family. I worked with Mike Petak as a volunteer Amateur Radio Operator. One of my most recent interactions with him was helping connect an individual in Massachusetts to his family in Dominica via Amateur Radio and both Mike and I being credited for making that connection by MEMA. I also was at SEOC dispatch a couple nights last year for the RACES Nets with Mike and recall him reaching out to me as we received tornado damage reports in Webster, MA. I will miss our interactions and wish his family the best in this difficult time.
